Mapping New South Wales

Like our other webmap showing the spread of convict places in Van Diemen’s Land, this map is designed to show the spatial and temporal impact that the convict system had upon the landscape of New South Wales. It is part of our wider Australian map project, illustrating the vast area encompassed by New South Wales during 1788-1840.
