Dr Richard Tuffin
Richard has been involved in all things archaeological and convict since his first excavation in 1997. Since that time he has worked as an archaeologist at Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority, did a PhD on the Tasman Peninsula Coal Mines, co-directed some of the largest research excavations of convict sites in Australia and worked on numerous ARC and Australian Government grants. In short, he’s probably overdone convict research a bit. He currently splits his time between working as a GIS specialist in commercial archaeology and as a Research Fellow on the latest ARC grant Australia’s First Colony.
